Use this worksheet to practise drawing a background.

Use just a few lines or big shapes of colour to draw a background in the squares below.

See if you can use the lines already drawn.

OR you could draw objects which are clues, for example a football net to show a football pitch.

When drawing backgrounds:

Try using watercolour or ink and "drawing" big shapes with a
large brush. Use a fine pen or pencil to draw detail over the big shapes.

Try keeping backgrounds simple. Don't forget to leave room for your characters!
