Making Mini-me - Sculpture for children Making mini-me is AccessArt's first Holiday Club online workshop. Making Mini-me is a construction based workshop aimed at ages 6 to 12. The Making Mini-me online resource shows you how to: - make a paper and wire armature; For parents, teachers and carers: The Making Mini-me online resource teaches children how to combine and manipulate different materials, and introduces children to using simple tools (pliers) and sculptural concepts and techniques. The illustrated online resource provides step by step instruction (no experience on part of child or adult is needed) but is also designed to empower and enable the child to create his or her own sculpture - the end result is not prescriptive. Making Mini-me is released as part of the brand new AccessArt Holiday Club - membership of which delivers five further online sculpture resources released throughout the year to coincide with the school holidays. Although workshops are intended for use in the home, they can be adapted for use in school, after school clubs or community settings. The Holiday Club also includes members-only pages, ask-the-artist, and members gallery.
