Press Release July 2007:

AccessArt forum boards – Practical advice and inspiration relating to all aspects of making and teaching art.

Since 1999 AccessArt has been recognized across the UK and overseas for its pioneering approach to visual arts education online. Now the highly visual resources at www.AccessArt.org.uk are supported further through the newly launched AccessArt forum boards.  The forum boards aim to create a much needed arena for users to exchange practical information, advice and inspiration relating to all aspects of making and teaching art.

“For years now we have been receiving feedback from users of AccessArt, many of whom have been requesting additional advice on a variety of practical topics. The forum now provides a place where this advice can be shared amongst our users, and where people can benefit not just from our ideas, but from a collective enthusiasm for making.” Paula Briggs, Creative Director of AccessArt.

The uniqueness of the forum lies not only in AccessArt's commitment to sharing practical information combined with creative inspiration, but also in its incredibly diverse potential user base.  One of AccessArt’s great successes has been in bringing together makers from an astonishingly wide variety of backgrounds – connecting curious novice to practicing artist, and placing pupils and students in the same arena as creative professionals and government agencies. AccessArt’s audience comes from across the world and includes home users, students, teachers, artists, architects, film makers, educationalist and academics… all of whom are invited to make the forum a really useful and vibrant place.

The AccessArt forum can be accessed free of charge at www.accessart.org.uk/forum
