It is well designed and the online workshops are captivating. Congratulations" Sue Spolton, Topmarks

"Had a look through your casting workshop and am really impressed. I'm the artsExplorer director for Wales Millennium Centre (already on your email list) and hope to develop this sort of material relating the construction of a major building to the curriculum. May well be in touch for advice at the appropriate time. Keep up the good work!" Ruth Garnault, artsExplorer director for Wales Millennium Centre

"Hi AccessArt people, I didn't have a chance to ask/tell/speak to you about this last week, but we've made you website of the week" Jonathan Pratty, Editor, The 24 Hour Museum

"I have just logged onto accessart for the first time and have followed the casting and construction workshop. What a wonderful idea! I will look forward to introducing this site to my class for use at home and at school. Are you thinking of doing items that are related to the QCA documentation? In September our Year 6s are doing a project about people in motion. Perhaps you could include some workshops based around that. Thanks again" Jo Denny

"This is great, I feel inspired to go and have a go myself right now! Somehow the roll-overs showing what impression the objects make in the clay is very satisfying, good use of the technology". Ben Spencer, Cultural Projects Manager, University of Surrey Roehampton

"It's me again......I just viewed "Casting & Construction". It is absolutely fantastic and will use it with my students in September.......thanks for the info.....keep up the good work" Dennis Cigler

"Hello, What a great site! I would love to know when you will be putting new workshops on, please put me on your list. Thank you" Renée Burgess, Education Coordinator, Kelowna Art Gallery

"Dear AccessArt, my name is Vic Newby. I am a lecture in 3D, Visual Studies and Fine Art at Stockport College where I am also responsible for the coordination of an Advanced VCE Art and Design course. I recently visited your website and was very impressed. I am interested in the notion of online working and its relevance in Art and Design education. I particularly like the 'Working With Withies' workshop, as I have used this approach myself, in teaching sculptural techniques in the past. I am very interested to become involved in this collaborative form of art education and I would appreciate any advice you can offer me. Hoping to hear from you soon Yours sincerely" Vic Newby

"I've just gone through, read, your drawing workshop -Thrilling and so exciting I want to do all the exercises myself, let alone teach them. I had got to the point with A level drawing, where I couldn't think of anything new, and now my head is bursting with new ideas. Thanks! Please email me when you add new workshops" Gilly

"I used the ideas in the worksheet very successfully with a group of Yr7 &8 boys in English. We are working on a combined Art & English project on Cats. Being an EBD school many pupils have missed out on basic education in literacy and have very limited vocabularies, particularly descriptive, imaginative words and building pictures. The exercise, especially when they had a piece of fur fabric to hold, produced some sincere original results which pleased everybody, and has really taken off as a visualisation method. Thankyou!" Julia Dance Wishmore

"Please let me know when new workshops become available. I am an art teacher starting a new job working in a special school for children with communication and speech difficulties and have found the workshops stimulating thankyou." Simon Blundell

"Thank you ,thank you , thank you. At last , someone out there realises we cant all get to uni even if we want to! I really appreciate the draw section (Ihaven't looked at the rest yet, I am too excited about finding this resource) as the exercises really stretch your drawing ability and your mind! I have been drawing and painting for years, my family have mostly got degrees in art /Science or are in business, I however have stayed at home and had four children and concentrated on their needs ,including home educating two of them,(which I am sure this site will be invaluable for), last year I applied for and was accepted on a foundation art course, I was unable to take it up due to family commitments, I am now trying to become a professional artist through my own studies. It would be brilliant, if you could do similar stuff on contemporary British Artists (see Getty Education) Have a free Mentoring service using either Teachers or Practicing Artists. A Feed back service for work one/projects etc A programme for development/assesmment of individuals eg Where do i go from here?"

"Access Art have created some fascinating online workshops in art for primary and secondary schools. What is Sculpture? introduces Key Stage 2 children to lots of different types of sculpture, using a well-designed and paced multimedia presentation that is full of little surprises. The workshop takes about five minutes. If you load it into the computer's cache just before the lesson, pupils will be able to use it offline. Afterwards, pupils can complete a worksheet designed to encourage further thought about the ideas through questions and a record of the workshop images. Pupils can explore their own personal experience of what sculpture is, or what it can be. See also Sculpture Chain, another fine Access Art workshop for Key Stage 2, on the theme of 'transforming ordinary objects into extraordinary sculpture" - www.eduweb.co.uk/pathways/ew/pw_choice.asp
