Do You Have Skills In IT (Web Development/Membership Websites/Databases)?

AccessArt is looking to bring a new trustee on to its board.

AccessArt was formed in 1999 and aims to inspire and enable high quality visual arts teaching and learning. The organisation is currently managed by a team of 4, supported by 4 trustees. We have nearly 10,000 members and over 20,000 subscribers. You can find out more about our activities and values at

The resources on the site (over 1200) and our membership, are central to our organisation, in terms of both activity and income. We are growing at approximately 50% each year, making AccessArt an exciting and dynamic organisation to be part of, and it is vital to us that we ensure our website and databases work efficiently to ensure we continue to deliver an excellent experience for our members.

We are looking for a trustee to compliment our existing board and in particular we would like to welcome someone who could help us ensure our membership system and website are as secure and efficient as possible.

If you have skills and interest in the following areas we’d love to hear from you:

  • Expertise in Website Development, in particular experience in Digital Content Management specifically for Membership sites.

  • Expertise in assessing website health and efficacy, and identifying areas of weakness/potential for future development.

  • Interest in supporting the work of a charity, and a belief in the importance of the work of AccessArt, namely working towards the advancement of visual arts education for all.

Commitments and Responsibilities

The main Trustee panel meets approximately 3 or 4 times a year via zoom to discuss general operating business. These meetings last between 1 and 2 hours and are unpaid.
