Finger Palette Portraits – Fingerprint Drawing

Fingerprint Drawing By Paula Briggs and Sheila Ceccarelli.

Using marks made by fingers and hands is a useful way to approach portraiture. Fingers make a great drawing tool: they are sensitive to pressure and mark making, and at the same time the limitations of the marks which fingers can make somehow help participants overcome preconceived ideas/expectations about what their portraits "should" look like.
