Elemental Drawing explores drawing from a unique perspective. Led by Paula Briggs and Sheila Ceccarelli, graduates of the Royal College of Art, the session uses experimental and expressive approaches to discover exciting ways of creating imagery inspired by the elements of earth, fire, water and wind.
The workshop takes us back to prehistory and encourages participants to think creatively about how our ancestors made marks: with charcoal, hands, and handmade tools. The workshop goes on to explore how we can develop our mark making inspired by the elements to create drawings which transform paper into other materials!
The workshop is suitable for teachers of all abilities/backgrounds and of all key stages.
Previous sessions with ages 4 to adult have been highly successful and provided participants with a wide range of techniques which they can develop and explore over time. Teachers should expect to feel inspired and enabled to develop the activities with their pupils, and an excellent body of work to be generated as a result.
*£340 half day workshop, £540 full day workshop, including materials, plus travel.
