I’m a London-based artist and educator and I work with young children through to adults.
My practice includes drawing, textiles, photography, sculpture and printmaking and I’m passionate about art’s role in exploring learning and improving wellbeing and self-esteem.
Level of Experience as an Artist Educator: Experienced (5-10 years of working as an artist educator)
I work with children, young people and adults in a variety of settings – facilitating specialist creative workshops in primary and secondary schools through to community arts projects. As a facilitator I strive to keep an open mind, to encourage discussion and creative exploration of ideas, materials and techniques.
Collaborative Arts Events
I’ve led on several collaborative projects such as Big Draw and 2015 Corelli College Arts Festival. There I collaborated with teachers to plan and deliver a 2-day drawing and sculpture workshop using cardboard. I led teams of students and teachers, working together to create ‘House’- a cardboard installation and stage set.
Working with Vulnerable Children, Young People and Adults
Through my work as artist in residence at Tavistock and Portman NHS Mental Health Trust I have gained valuable insight and experience from working alongside and in collaboration with health professionals. I’ve run creative art workshops that engage with vulnerable individuals and the wider Tavistock community in a variety of settings.
