Level of Experience as an Artist Educator: Very Experienced (More than 10 years working in art education)
I studied fashion/textile design and have worked in both the fashion
industry and the graphic design industry. Sewing, mixed media and
model making are skills that I bring to my classes.
This Aslan lion model was created by a group of children to represent
their school ‘House‘.
Arts Award Advisor
I am an Arts Award Advisor for Discover and Explore levels. I have
links with the University of Hertfordshire. For a recent Arts Award, I
took a group of children to the see the sculptures on the University
campus. Follow-up observational drawings were impressive.
Innovative Workshop Leader
I use a variety of media in my projects, anything from clay, Chinese
brush painting, papier-maché to printing, paper-making, plaster of
paris and the paint ‘Swing-O-Meter’ shown to the left. I write a blog
called the ‘Art Cabin’ to document our art adventures.
