Mixed Media Storytelling Mural by Kathryn Sjogren

Many thanks to Kathryn Sjogren for sharing this project.

As part of an art and literature crossover mural, students read That Book Woman by Heather Henson.  The book is about Pack Horse Librarians in the 1930s which travelled by horse to deliver books to rural children in the Appalachian Mountains.

All 4th and 5th grade students participated in the creation of the mural (roughly 250 students total).
