Shipwrecked! A Shadow Puppet Play by Children Aged 10

By Paula Briggs

The Friday Club
The Friday Club

The brand new AccessArt Friday Club spent a happy six weeks meeting every Friday evening for one hour. The Friday Club takes place in a small summerhouse, and as the nights drew in and it was dark outside and cosy inside, we decided to turn the summerhouse into a theatre and make a shadow puppet play.

Shipwrecked! Shadow Puppet Play

Inline with the aims of the Friday Club, the sessions were largely directed by the children themselves, giving them plenty of time and space to explore their ideas, and work together in a creative collaboration.
