The Structure of the Curriculum

Our Curriculum is based around five areas of exploration – explore how these areas provide a rhythm to the school year in art.

Inspire Pupils by Exploring a Diverse Range of Disciplines & Artists

Explore Diverse disciplines & artists

It’s important to engage all pupils by introducing them to a diverse range of artists who explore a wide range of materials, techniques, and themes. By helping pupils understand the many purposes of art, we can ensure that every learner finds a meaningful way to engage and succeed.

Pupils explore a wide variety of disciplines through our Pathways, and explore a wide range of artists through our Talking Points resources.

Support Videos for Teachers

Support Videos

To help teachers understand more about how to use the AccessArt Primary Art Curriculum, we have created a number of support videos

These videos will deepen your understanding of the scheme, guide you in adapting it to suit your school’s needs, and show you how to edit the support documents. Share them with your staff to quickly build confidence in using the AccessArt Primary Art Curriculum.

CPD to Develop your Skills

Zoom CPD

Each term, we offer a programme of inspirational Zoom CPD to help develop your skills and understanding.

Many of these sessions are recorded, allowing you to watch them live or at your convenience. With the exception of our Collaborative CPD programme, all Zoom CPD sessions are free for AccessArt Members.

Meaningful Support Documentation

Editable Support documents

We know how important it is for schools to access editable support documents which help planning, progression and communication.

Our support documents include Medium Term Plans, a Progression Plan, Sequencing, Vocab, and Lists of Materials & Resources. All are fully editable.
