Oil pastels are a highly pigmented material made from a blend of oil and wax. Their vibrant colours and creamy texture make them perfect for blending, layering and making bright cheerful artwork.

They are great for mixed media explorations as they sit well on top of most materials and can create bold contrasting details. They can also be used effectively on their own.
