We are pleased to announce that AccessArt will be running another Zoom Sketchbook Share session designed to help teachers from all key stages to be inspired by everything sketchbooks!
AccessArt has been an advocate of the use of sketchbooks as a tool to nurture creativity for many years. For over 25 years AccessArt has been asking the question:
What kind of mechanisms do artists use to enable their creativity to flourish?
The answers to that question contain clues; clues that might suggest to us new ways we can enable creativity in children and teenagers, and one of the ways many adults develop their creativity is through the use of sketchbooks. We see that in schools where sketchbook use thrives, creativity thrives too.
If you have sketchbooks you would like to share (either because you are proud of them and would like to see them celebrated, or because you have an issue you would like to troubleshoot and receive feedback about) then please get in touch by emailing rachel@accessart.org.uk.
Our aim is to enable as many teachers and facilitators as possible (across all Key Stages and including non-specialist teachers) to feel confident and inspired to explore the use of sketchbooks with their pupils.
This session will be recorded and available to AccessArt members a few days after the event.
