Subject-Specific CPD Inspired by artists, led by experts, not AI
In a recent AccessArt survey, 14% of teachers had not been able to access subject-specific CPD since 2024, and a staggering 22% had never accessed subject-specific CPD.
AccessArt offers a rolling programme of in-house online art CPD via Zoom and collaborative CPD led by art education experts, free to AccessArt members.
Many sessions are recorded, creating an evolving library of art CPD recordings for members. Combining practical art activities with insight into visual arts pedagogy, these recordings support teachers across EYFS, primary, secondary and sixth form. Schools can use them for staff CPD and training, while teachers can use them for their own professional development.
We also offer a series of posts and animations exploring visual arts pedagogy, helping teachers understand AccessArt’s approach to teaching art.
Launching in 2027, our Teaching Art Well courses comprise eight certified teacher CPD modules, combining online Zoom sessions with space for practical exploration. Together, they will provide a strong foundation for teaching art effectively and with heart in your school.

The AccessArt Enrichment Offer Supporting schools to inspire all pupils
The Department for Education’s Enrichment Framework for schools and colleges recognises that every child and young person should have access to a broad range of high-quality enrichment opportunities. Arts and Culture is identified as one of the five key areas that every school should provide.
To support schools in meeting the DfE Enrichment Framework, AccessArt has created the AccessArt Enrichment Offer for Arts and Culture. It helps schools feel inspired, prepared and ready to develop and deliver high-quality arts and cultural enrichment.
Whether you are an early years setting, primary school, secondary school, special school, alternative provision, sixth form or college, we can support you. We work with local authority-maintained schools, academies and multi-academy trusts, helping them review their current enrichment provision and develop meaningful new arts and culture opportunities for all pupils.

Resources for EYFS The AccessArt approach embraces play, curiosity and exploration - and it all starts here
To help establish foundations for art education AccessArt has created seven areas of exploration for use in EYFS.
Within each area, we have provided activities which enable an open-ended, playful exploration of materials, processes and ideas, which in turn nurtures dexterity skills, promotes an early understanding of visual literacy skills and begins to build the child’s confidence in their ability to make a personal, creative response to a stimulus.

AccessArt Talking Points Exploring a rich diversity of artists, craftspeople and designers
It is important that all pupils encounter a diverse range of artists, craftspeople and designers, enabling them to see themselves reflected, discover new perspectives and feel inspired in their own creative work.
AccessArt Talking Points are curated art education resources that help teachers and pupils across all key stages explore artists, artworks and creative practices. They develop creative and critical thinking, build oracy skills and encourage curiosity and confidence in looking at, thinking about and discussing art, craft and design. They also help pupils make meaningful connections with their own ideas and artwork.
