“My interest in the natural world was always there but only really came to the fore about seven years ago after I graduated from art college. My degree show had been inspired by museum interiors, with a strong emphasis on animal displays. After graduating I made a series of screen prints depicting winged creatures in these highly lit, artificial displays.
